It’s more “if you’re a fucking asshole, maybe consider not being a fucking asshole.” I can understand how a fucking asshole might not see the distinction, though.
Moral: Don’t mock people if they can’t do things as well as you can. What matters is that they are trying and you should be supportive. If you have nothing nice to say, shut up.
1. The person didn’t say anything.
2. The “slow reader” was not being made fun of.
3. Just because the “fast reader” didn’t understand how someone could take ‘that long to read a book’ doesn’t mean they thought they were privileged or better or that they were shaming the other person.
Honestly, some people need to learn the distinction between defending someone who is getting made fun of and defending someone just to make the opposite person feel like shit.
Actually to me that sounded mean. I have dyslexia and I read slow, and if someone stared at me with there mouth wide open and eyes staring in disbelief that I can’t read as fast as them, I would feel like shit. Like they think they’re some good shit cause they can read fast.
